Approved – in negotiation

The original site was planned for Markham Valley, Morobe Province but proved unsuitable during feasibility assessments. The location for the proposed site remains in negotiation. Further updates on this project will be provided through this website.
Australia remains committed to supporting the construction of Papua New Guinea’s first utility scale solar power plant.
